AIBBD Winning Dances

The All Ireland Board of Ballroom Dancing (AIBBD) hosted its prestigious President’s Day on Saturday, 29th March 2025, at the elegant Lucan Spa Hotel in Dublin. The event brought together dancers from across the country for a vibrant day of competition, celebration, and socialising.

Inventive Dance Competition

The highlight of the afternoon was the Inventive Dance Competition, which ran from 12:15 PM to 4:30 PM and showcased original choreography in Ballroom, Latin and Classical sequence.

Winners of the 2025 Inventive Dance Competition:

• Classical Section: David and Geraldine Roberts  “The Holly Blue Santer.” 

• Latin Section: Carole O’Brien, partnered by Sharon Kayne, “Honey Kiss Cha-Cha-Cha.”

• Modern Section: Rioghnach Cantwell and John George, “Leeside Waltz.”
