AIBBD Winning Dances

The All Ireland Board of Ballroom Dancing (AIBBD) hosted its prestigious President’s Day at the elegant Lucan Spa Hotel in Dublin. The event brought together dancers from across the country for a vibrant day of competition, celebration, and socialising.

Inventive Dance Competition

The highlight of the afternoon was the Inventive Dance Competition and showcased original choreography in Ballroom, Latin and Classical sequence.

Winners of the 2026 Inventive Dance Competition:

• Classical Section: Eugene Barber and Lorraine Heron  “Burberry Swing” 

• Latin Section: Carole O’Brien “Ivy Rose Rumba”

• Modern Section: Eugene Barber and Lorraine Heron “Claddagh Waltz”
