BATD Inventive Dance winners results
British Association of Teachers of Dancing – Inventive Dance Winners Announced in Stratford-upon-Avon
On Sunday, 22 June 2025, the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) hosted its latest Inventive Dance Competition at the elegant Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon. Although entries were limited this year, the standard of dancing remained impressively high, reflecting the creativity, dedication, and professionalism of all who took part.
Winners on the day were:
Classical Sequence:
Lissia Giles partnered by Kaylee Giles – Beringer Blues
Ballroom Sequence:
Beverley Murch-Fowkes and Sandra Brewster – Dominion Foxtrot
Latin Sequence:
Peter Mounsey partnered by Vivien Mounsey – Rewrite Rumba
A special highlight of the day was the awarding of the Jim and Madge Curley Memorial Trophy, presented to the couple achieving the most first-place results across all sections. This year’s recipients were:
Beverley Murch-Fowkes and Sandra Brewster – an outstanding achievement and a well-deserved recognition.
