21 June 2026 – British Association of Teachers of Dancing
This event is part of the BATDs annual conference weekend, which includes a dinner on Saturday evening. Cabaret will be provided by the following acts – The BATD Senior Scholarship Winners, Ballroom Demonstration by Mark and Olga Elsbury, Jazz demonstration by the Royal Conservative of Scotland, Tap demonstration by The Tap Chaps and performers from the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Dancers under the direction of Aileen Robertson.
Dinner Dance tickets are £60 or £40 for under 25’s – tickets can be purchased via the BATD Head office 0141 427 3699 ext 222.
As this is a closed competition only BATD members may enter. However, they may be partnered by a professional from another Association or an amateur over the age of 16 years. On winning any of the competitions the BATD member must teach the winning dance/s without any intervention from the non-member.
Scripts on sale after the teaching of the new dances. £3 for the 3 winning dance scripts. Scripts are free for BATD members.
Prize money £125 in each section and £20 to each of the remaining couples in the final.
Venue: Crowne Plaza, Glasgow
Doors open: 12.30 for 1 pm
Competition starts: 1 pm
Finish time around: 5.30 pm

£20 Ticket includes entry to Ballroom and Latin lectures commencing 9.30 pm till 12 noon
